Turn student work into IEP progress

The AI workspace for special education

One workspace where progress is measured on real student work, IEPs are drafted from real evidence, and everyone around the table (teachers, providers, families) sees the same student.

FERPA-first · Student records encrypted at rest · Signed DPA before any student data

The SyncIEP dashboard: compliance health, flagged cases, and deadlines across your caseload in one view

everything in one place

Built for everything the caseload throws at you

Caseload, drafting, meetings, progress, deadlines: the whole job, not one slice of it.

Progress you can see

Every goal carries a measurable metric, a baseline, and a live mastery trend instead of a binder of tally sheets.

Meetings without the email chain

Propose times, let the team and family respond, and watch the annual review confirm itself.

Student work becomes data

Snap a photo of the worksheet. SyncIEP reads it, scores it against the goal’s own metric, and files the evidence.

Deadlines that watch themselves

Notice windows, progress reports, annual and triennial dates, all tracked per student and assigned to the right person.

One team, one student record

Case managers, co-teachers, and related service providers work the same case, with access scoped to their role.

Private by default

Encrypted records, role-scoped access, and a signed data privacy agreement before a single student is added.

how it works

From case file to confident IEP

drafting

Drafts that start from your evidence, not a blank page

SyncIEP reads the case file you already have (evaluations, work samples, progress data) and drafts directly onto your district’s actual IEP form.

  • Present levels grounded in the documents and data on file, with the evidence cited back to you.
  • Goals minted measurable from the start: metric, baseline, target, and timeline.
  • If there’s no evidence for a section, SyncIEP says so instead of making something up.
  • You review and approve every word. Nothing lands in an IEP on its own.

progress & mastery

Progress monitoring that runs on real student work

Photograph the worksheet on your way out of the room. SyncIEP grades it against the goal’s own metric and adds the point to the mastery series: dated, sourced, and ready for the progress report.

  • Work is scored on the goal’s metric (accuracy, words per minute, task steps), not a generic rubric.
  • Mastery trends update per goal and per objective, with the date criteria were met.
  • Quick manual data points for anything you observe without paper.
  • Progress reports draft themselves from the same series your team already sees.

team & families

Everyone around the table, actually on the same page

Providers log sessions on the goals they own. Co-teachers see the snapshot they need. Families follow progress from their own portal, in plain language rather than jargon.

  • One student record shared by the whole team, with access scoped to each role.
  • A family portal for progress, reports, and meeting scheduling, with nothing to print.
  • A case activity trail, so “who changed what” is never a mystery.

privacy & trust

Student data is not a growth strategy

IEPs are among the most sensitive records a school keeps. SyncIEP is built so the paperwork gets easier and the protections get stronger.

  • Student records are encrypted at rest.
  • A signed data privacy agreement (SDPC National DPA) comes before any student data.
  • Access is scoped by role: families and providers see exactly what they should and nothing more.
  • AI never gets the last word: nothing enters an IEP without an educator’s review.

questions

Fair questions, straight answers

Do we need a district contract to start?

No. A single case manager or a small team can create a workspace and start today. If your district adopts SyncIEP later, your workspace can migrate in without starting over.

How does the AI drafting actually work?

Drafts are grounded in the case file you upload: evaluations, work samples, and progress data. SyncIEP drafts present levels and goals from that evidence, flags anything it could not support, and leaves identity and service decisions to people. Every draft is reviewed and approved by an educator before it becomes part of the IEP.

Does SyncIEP replace our district’s IEP forms?

No, it fills them. SyncIEP drafts and edits directly on your district’s real IEP form, so what you send to the meeting is the document your district already uses.

What can families see?

Families get their own portal: progress on goals in plain language, published reports, and meeting scheduling they can respond to. They never see other students, and staff-only notes stay staff-only.

How is student data protected?

Records are encrypted at rest, access is scoped by role, and a signed data privacy agreement (SDPC National DPA) is in place before any student data is added. You can read the agreement itself right on this site.
